The Kid In The Red Jacket

Molly changed My heart a lot. When I finished reading Kid In The Red Jacket By Barbara Park it changed how I think about other people. On page 36 when Molly told Howard that Her parents divorced, I thought about what people go through like their parents divorcing or if you are half black and half white or you come from a different country, or not having a home. I imagined all of them. That would be so hard, it’s like having your hands in two different worlds. Kid In The Red Jacket changed me as a human on the last sentences of page 91 after Ollie and Howard stopped throwing Madeline and Pete was sitting down and not throwing Madeline and said “You guys are jerks, you know it? You’re really jerks.” People can be really mean and rude. Sometimes people want to fit in like when Howard threw Madeline even though He knew it was wrong. People like Pete are brave not doing what other people do because He knew it was the wrong thing to do. I now try to do the right thing even if it means not fitting in. I think that Kid In The Red Jacket really changed me, and I recommend that you open this book and read it!
